Youth Thinkers' Society (YTS) offers an opportunity for the youth who have innovative ideas to implement SDGs with the support of YTS in their local communities. The selected participants will get fully-funded scholarships to attend the symposium in Kabul.
Top four ideas generated at this Symposium will be sponsored by Youth Thinkers’ Society for implementation.

Youth Thinkers’ Society, will be organizing the first ever National Youth Symposium on SDGs in Afghanistan where students and youth between the age of 16 – 29 will come together from all the provinces of Afghanistan to discuss and come up with solutions/recommendations to the Afghan government and NGOs on how to reach five goals of SDGs.
The symposium will host 200+ aspiring youth from all across the country who will take part in paper presentations, panel discussions and other fun activities.
The symposium is divided into two major components: Social Forum and Political Forum. In social forum, there will be five paper presentations on five themes; wherein, a prominent expert in relevant
field shall present a paper on one of the themes also stated in the form below. Two commentators in the field will critically comment upon the paper and the participants would also engage during the open floor session by questioning and/or giving feedback to the presenter. In the political forum, the recommendations made by the paper presenter combined with that of commentators and participants shall be presented to the key political and social leaders. The symposium will also be fun- filled with number of fun activities to make it more youth-friendly
During the dialogue all participants will gather to address and call for action on the following objectives:
A national network of young people from all over Afghanistan empowered to share experiences and exchange ideas on SDGs;
To create an inclusive youth participation platform that enables young people to review the progress on the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals
To facilitate effective partnerships with youth, youth-led organizations and youth movements to further strengthen inclusive youth participation in the decision- making processes and implementation of the Sustainable Development Agenda
To contribute to the establishment of a permanent youth engagement mechanism that ensures consistent follow-up with young people and further boost their participation and partnership in the implementation of the SDGs at national, regional and global levels
International Youth Project which is proposed to be designed at the conference to be implemented in different countries
